Just bought a '94 G20t, and I'm considering getting the adjustable KYB's.
Adjusting the fronts would obviously be a quick procedure, but aren't the rears hard to get at? I haven't looked long & hard at it yet, but do any of you have experience with these? Maybe I'd gotten used to my old Golf with its rear strut towers always in my face. Many Thanks. - Don |

Acutally getting at the rears is pretty simple, you get kinda dirty on your back (if you don't have a towel or something on the ground) and your arm from the inside of the wheel and stuff. All I'd recommend is possibly a flashlight, depending on time of day, and location (shade, sun, garage, etc.) here is a picture of the adjustment knob and location. You can see this is the driver side rear. You can reach from behind the rear tire to access the adjuster knob.

justin, you put down 141whp?? with just advanced timing, pulley, header, and intake? could you show us the dyno sheet? my friend's 200sx se-r put down 139whp and he has aebs header and s3 cams (doesn't have ecu yet).
i'm just really curious, considering i have many of the same mods as you do. i still need pulleys though. |

Thanks for the picture & comments. I' don't intend to readjust the rears everyday of my life, but it's nice to know it not too daunting a task.

Yeah, I have a final tonight (actually in a little while :-( After the final i'll hook up my scanner and scan that sucker in... I have an excel spreadsheet of all the numbers too, but i don't think i can post that here.. it's on the so-cal serca site on yahoo groups for anyone who wants to look at that file. I also have a lightened flywheel (good for a couple extra whp). But yeah, that's basically it. I still have exhaust, cams, and ecu to go, so i'm thinking 160+ isn't out of the question, depending on cams of course. I could always go with the C series cams and throw down a lot of power, but i'd have to throw down the $$$ too. And to northwestrally : I don't adjust mine that much, usually only when i go to the track, and then i adjust once i'm there.

I scanned in the dyno. I'm gonna post it to the engine section.

KYB AGX
I have a '94 G20t also. I just installed the KYB AGX struts. The front are really easy to adjust. As for the back, I have 17" wheels which allows me to stick my hand through the spokes to get at the adjustment knob. If you can't fit your wrist through your wheels then u might have to slide under the car from the back.

KYB AXG
The combo of the KYB AGX struts , the HKS springs, and the 17" rims makes the ride is a little harsh. The front is pretty low, but the back was not lowered as much. I guess it compensates for loads in the back seat and the trunk. On the bright side the car handels like a 4 door Porsche. I will post a pic when I get one on the computer.
