I think it attaches to the engine bay to keep your CAI from moving...

what do you mean you dont know what to do with the brackets??? if it was a cheap one it might just have a couple of L brackets with it. just bend them to fit where the old air box bolted up to.its really easy...

Re: cold air intake please i need help

what the fuck is wrong with these people. (that was a statment not a question) Cant they think for themselves and use just a little bit of common sence. If it has a bracket and it has a hole .... hum that ones about as easy as trying to find out where to stick your dick.

If the CAI MADE FOR YOUR CAR came with 2 L brackets, then they obviously should be useed. Higher end ones tend to have the brackets attatched to the pipe, cheaper ones don't. Big deal. It's commen sense. It comes with brakets, use it. There are 2 hole, so it figures you attacht one to the CAI and one to the engine bay somewhere.

Now you said, and I quote...

Well, hmm...based on the previous advise you had recieved...

Based on these comments, you should have figured out (sense you couldn't figure it out on your own) that THIS IS EXCACTLY WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO....KEEP THE CAI FROM MOVING!!!

Yet somehow you state "I mounted one and all it does it keep the filter from moving and touching the wheel well and stuff...

*Ding Ding..." We have a winner!!! That's exactly what it is SUPPOSED TO DO...keep the CAI from moving. The filter touching the wheel and moving around is bad...that's why they are included.

Now if you couldn't figure it out on your own, that they were included so use themy, then I don't know. It's commen sense. But you couldn't even comprehend WHY they were there when you were TOLD why...you made a comment like "all they do is keep the filter from moving and touching the wheel...yet you said this AFTER PEOPLE HAD TOLD YOU THAT WAS THE REASON THEY ARE THERE...TOO KEEP IT FROM MOVING.

After that, you wonder why people get impatient and mouthy...whether you think flaming is right or wrong, that's the reason it happened. You stuck your own foot in your mouth. If you can't see that, then we really can't help you.

Re: cold air intake please i need help

If you can't find a hole, just dont use the bracket. My cheap CAI never came with any brackets, Ive never had a problem. Its not a life or death situation..
