Cruise Control suddenly stopped working.

I just noticed the other day that the cruise control is no longer working in my 1991 SR5 V6 4x4 xtra cab pickup. I press the cruise control toggle button and the light comes on and off like normal in the dash. Then when I press the button to set it while driving it doesn't do anything. I've tried cancelling, resuming, holding resume to accellerate, trying it with the cruise toggled off. Any ideas, it's more of an inconvenience than a big problem, but it can be annoying on longer trips.

You might have a small hole in the diafram (-5 spelling) or the cable has snapped. A shop can troubleshoot that for you. Just be careful and don't let the dealership screw you. I actually had the service writer refund me the $150.00 out of his own pocket when he overcgharged me. It took some bitching to southeast toyota to get it though.

Well actually, about a week later the problem fixed itself and it works fine. Hopefully i won't have to deal with that again.
