Can't find VSS on 97 taurus (NEW)check out my gallery please!!

Can someone point me in the right direction. I looked on the top
of the trans/drivers side/by the rear exhaust manifold/but can't
find a 2 wire connector that goes into the trans? Someone got a
map that this idiot can follow? I was told it is under a heat shield
but there is no heat shield, a picture of the little bugger would be
great help too?

Thanks in advance,
Jay

Have a look at Willboy's post, I think you will find all the information there.

I tried that, but still can't find any heat shield or 2 wire connector, or 8mm retaining bolt? I need more help. Thanks.

Re: Check out my gallery

Okay, I figures out where the VSS is, now I have the 8mm bolt out,
but can't get the sensor to slide out of the trans. Any ideas? I have been using a long crowbar, prying on it, but I don't want to break the plastic. Help!!!! Please !!!!
