Have never had any problems with this, or any of my past Camry's.
Recently the brake warning light has appeared. It does not stay on, just comes on periodically and then goes off. I have noticed this only occuring in the morning, and usually during or right after a left turn. If there is a problem with the brakes, wouldn't the light stay on at all times? I'm guessing there is just a faulty wire of some sort in the dash, but would certainly appreciate any info / suggestions anyone may have. Thanks!! |

Re: 96 Camry Brake Warning Light
Probably just your brake fluid level sensor is being activated by the shifting brake fluid in the Master Cylinder during the turns. Add some brake fluid to the reservoir.

Re: 96 Camry Brake Warning Light
low brake fluid - brake light:
unless you have a leak, low fluid probably results from worm brake pads, (backing moving out in the calipers) so check for brake pad wear also. For the front, you remove the wheel and look through an inspection slot in the front of the caliper to see brake pad thickness remaining. |
