Gas milage and pinging
95' 1500 4x4 w/ 350 168K All stock except the flow master exhaust. Gas mileage is at 9-10 city and fwy. Fwy is limited driving.
Reading other messages, Looks like 15 mpg is possible. Is it just getting old?
Recent Tune up, filter changed regularly, tire and alignment recent. New trans at 160K from the dealer.
Power is ok, a little sluggish, expected when pulling 5000 lbs trailer. Going up hill the engine was pinging like crazy. Timing is on and gas is mid grade. Any suggestions?
Looking at a possible rebuild in the near futre. Possibly a create motor. At that time, any bolt on's that may help mileage and power with out spending a forturne?
