Radio

Ok I have one for you. Why is it that when I have my radio on a FM station and I hit the rear defroster button my stereo gets all fuzzy. It doesn't happen on AM just the FM and just the defroster button effects it. I have a '99 Camry CE 4 cyl. Thanks!!

Re: Radio

Not only that, you need to check the inside of the back glass and verify that there are no breaks or scrapes in the lines in the glass, also make sure that there is no metal grounding out the two different wires.

The antenna is bad in the rear window.... it's a fairly common problem. You'll need to have the rear window replaced to remedy.

Re: Radio

Now let's not go jumping into the assumption that the antenna is bad. There is a very good possibility that one or more of the lines in the glass could be damaged, and this can be repaired, rather than replacing the whole rear glass. All of the lines in the back glass need to be inspected for damage, and if there is one that is damaged, you can repair it yourself. Don't go replacing glass unless the glass itself is broken.
