New Nissan owner looking for help
I am a honda owner (2000 civic si). Soon to be a former honda owner. Tierd of being associated with all the little boys who have a honda with mufflers & intakes who think there cars are fast and want to race. I'm buying a s13 hatchback. seriously consitering the RB26DETT. looking for pros & cons. Also wanting to know what i'm getting myself into with moderate skills. Plus wondering if can convert to awd. If anyone has done this swap looking for any advice you can give.

Re: rb26dett
Throw me $15,000 to $20,000 and I will make it work...you gotta supply the car, I will supply the rest.
I will also require a 6 month period to do the work in. The AWD system is almost impossible to swap to another car, the RB26DETT isn't all that hard witha little patience and common sense. |

You can stop thinking about the AWD right now, never going to happen. As for the RB26DETT, you can do it, but you can't keep the twin turbo because it won't clear the steering column or something like that. If you get a single turbo then you should be able to do it without that many mods. I think 15-20 Gs is exagerated.

Re: rb26dett
McKinney's mount kit WILL allow you to keep the twins, and the AWD is possible, but nowhere near easy.

If you need all those parts from a skyline then buy the dame skyline, if it's wrecked spend money on fixing it, it'll be better, but wtv, up to you.
