93 Bonneville SSE Fuel pump runs interm.

Help!!!
I just replaced the fuel pump, filter and strainer. The fuel pump kicked on fine for a short period of time afterward. (but if you "let off" the accelerater it would die,( but started fine.) After a couple of short 2 mile trips, I drove it about 10-15 miles, cut it off and fuel pump won't kick in. Messed with relays, wiring , and throttle position sensor. After about 20 minutes... it started. Went about 5 miles... it died (and the fuel pump wouldn't kick in. ) Finally, it started. (not sure why.) It ran fine for about 7 miles , then died. Changed oil pressure sensor (after reading in a trouble shooting guide that it could cause the pump from coming on and my pressure gauge had been pegging when accelerating. Still fuel pump would kick on. Tested gray wire going to fuel pump where it connects to fuel pump connector and test light came on 2 secs and off. I disconnected fuel line at filter for lack of anything else to try. Dang thing started. I drove it like 1.5 miles, cool, drove it a mile or so again, no problem, went out to start it just now & it wont start !!!! A question...I plugged in an electronic tester and got code 22 (throttle Position Sensor voltage low). Will that keep fuel pump from kicking on? Any advice or info would be sincerely appreciated.

Im not all that good with electrical stuff, but one thing that I know Ive seen before, is make sure the fuel filter isnt in backwards (Some cars it doesnt matter, but worth a check anyway)

sounds kinda dumb, but ive seen too many people do too many things and it was this simple

if it says that the voltage is low to the throttle position sensor, maybe try just running a wire right from the battery to it and see if that helps (?)

The car should run even without the TPS connected, just not very good. Are you sure that the fuel pump is shutting off or is that just what it seems?

This is normal when you first turn the ignition switch on. The PCM is priming the fuel system at this point.

I believe you have a bad fuel pump. It wouldn't be the first one that
failed out of the box. Check the connector where your fuel pump
plugs into the line.

If your fuel pump runs you should be able to hear it when you turn
your ignition switch on. Turn your switch on again and listen. If you
repeat this switch on for three or four seconds then off, the pump
should run each time. Sometimes your car will start after doing this
"priming" or building pressure on your injector fuel supply line.
