1/18 HOT WHEEL MAYBACH 62 quetion

Again Me and My quetions lol.
Does anyone have 1/18 HOT WHEELS MAYBACH 62 ?
Is it 1/18 or 1/20 ?
I looked at a couple of web sites and i saw the pics of it, it is ok looking, it is not AUTO ART but with a few mods it can look better then AUTO ART one.
Ok back tho the question.
I saw the pic of the box which car comes with and it said 1/18 but some of the web sites said it is 1/20 is it?
I saw some of the posts here that some one said it's too low, well it can be lifted and wheels can be changed.
And i think these wheels r too wide and too small in diameter, i don't know I can only judge by looking at the pics, the only good thing about them they look like BRABUS wheels and BRABUS just came up with their version of MAYBACH, so it is good idea for project, to make this one in to BRABUS.
And one more question. Does the hood open? None of the web site have pics with the open hood. If not then it sux, You can't make it a BRABUS motor and i can't really see if it has brake disks, well that can be fixed, but overall it is ok looking model I just checked pics again

Hot Wheels has a Maybach? I have to look into this...

I wouldn't be surprised if they did shorten it to 1:20 just to fit it in the package...

I don't know much about the Hot Wheels version of this model, but I can tell you that if you want a Maybach for display, definitely get the Aa version. You should be able to pick it up from ebay at around $70, and if you can wait, maybe even low $60s. That is an awesome model and believe me, it is worth its price. However, if you just want it for mod, Hot Wheels probably isn't too too bad.

I have alot of AUTO ARTS models I use to be scared to do anything to them $$$,but then one day I Atook my BENZ CL600 and chenged the wheels and came up very good.About HOT WHEELS MAYBACH it is a good choise for mods ,it has crazy stereo system ,kined of like show car. I have HOT WHEELS BMW 654I I did alot of custom work on it and I think it came out better then KAYOSHO one.
If the HOT WHEELS MAYBACH is 1/20 then I'll get me AA one,if it is 1/18 then I'll get HOT WHEELS and work on it and when I m done with it it is gonna be even better then AUTO ART.
The only 2 questions is still remain: is it 1/18 ? Is the hood opens?

Re: 1/18 HOT WHEEL MAYBACH 62 quetion

well.. i brought one. the hood won't open.that's why all the pictures for that model don't have their hood open. There is brake disks and caliper. caliper is painted in blue. the box says 1:18. Since i have a 1:18 Maybach 57. put they side by side, the HW 62 more lookes like a 1:20. The total length of 62 is same as the 57.

Re: 1/18 HOT WHEEL MAYBACH 62 quetion

i know u wanna get a cheap maybach but the hotwheels version is so not worth it. i mean look at the back seat and the speakers and tvs everwhere it's sooooo stupid! what a disgrace to the high end maybach name. i would go w/ the aa version. they have the lowenhart rims edition so you could do something w/ that maybe.

Re: 1/18 HOT WHEEL MAYBACH 62 quetion

You are bidding on a ( NEW ) DIECAST CAR

• Model : MAYBACH 62 1/18

• DROPSTAR WHIPS

• Opening : DOORS , TRUNK

• Length : 10"

• Color : 2 TONE

• Made by : HOT WHEELS

but if he says that it's same size then the 57...he must be right!
only seems to me that that paint looks rather uncool...

Re: 1/18 HOT WHEEL MAYBACH 62 quetion

i think the model are just fine for that price range. and actually better then i expected. since i already have one, let me counts how many screens(TVs), amps, speakers which are "everywhererly"... Screens(TVs) 12 excluding the orginal 3 screen in the maybach 62. Amps 9. speakers 23, that's all i can see. well.. i don't think those "extra" stuff are disgrace the maybach, cause the model is not a replica of a original maybach 62. since is the box says DROPSTARS, and have DROPSTARS in the frout and rear licenses plates. The model should or must carry those "extra" stuff and big wheels. The trunk are pretty hard to open, need some force. the rear door are "hard" to open due to the door handle are not a "functional" one, no force is need here but need to find a gap to opend. And is a very ok model.

Thank You.
And speaking of EXTRAS We take a plane car and put etra stuff ourselves. Here we have a model where evrything is allready done for Us,what We have to do is Maybe chenge colors inside and outside ,and maybe chehge wheels.
I think I m gonna get me one.
It is not AUTO ART, but like I said befor:"How many times We take Maisto and make them look better then any AUTO ART".
So maybe this HOT WHEELS MAYBACH 62 is a perfect project to make it better looking one then any AUTO ART MAYBACH 62.
I m getting Me one of this HOT WHEELS MAYBACH.
