Anyone try nitrous??

I have a generic nitrous system collecting dust and would like to try it on my '99 CLK320. I would prefer to use it "dry", does anyone have any experience on this subject? The nitrous companies (NOS, etc) have no info on this motor. I’m looking for 50-75HP. Any info is appreciated.

I've looked around for other performance stuff, but it seems what few parts are available would be cheaper if they were made of gold.

Thanks

Er, as a technician I would have to advise against trying to use NOS on a new model Mercedes. More than likely you're going to set a check engine light and God only knows how the engine is going to react to a sudden burst of oxygen injected into the cylinders without the mass air flow sensor knowing.

Ever heard of that Vornado product they sell by infomercial? You know you stick in the air induction tube and it's supposed to spin the air and give you horse power, gas mileage, etc. Well. somebody installed that on a C-class and even something that simple set a check engine light.

Then again, it's not my vehicle, so...INSTALL IT! Let's see what happens!!!

I did it. I had to guess at the correct jetting to use because apparently jetting is as big a mystery as cam specs, so it’s pretty clear that I’m on my own here.
My first jetting I guestimated as a bit rich to be safe was 42 nitrous and 24 fuel. I was very disappointed, it felt more like a 30hp boost, not the 75 I expected. Apparently not enough nitrous, so I drilled the jet to 46, now we're talkin!
I haven't had many opportunities to check 0-60 times for a with and w/o nitrous comparison because the traffic is so thick here and the place is crawling with cops. I’m shooting for under 5 seconds.
Btw; no engine light, no ping, no nuthin', just more power.
