Ball Joints

Had a fun little expirence lastnight with this, as I'm going out for the evening I'm waiting to get out onto Main street in my town and as I'm pulling away *SNAP* !
Fuckin thing twisted in 2 with the lower control arm resting inside of my wheel. It showed no signs of wear except when my dad and I took it apart someone really horsed the nut on the bottom of it with an impact gun and from that it was too tight and it was twisting and bending it and basically what happened when I started to take the corner I finished the job. But thats not the best part...I just got back from a hour and a half run on the highway no more than 45 mins before that sooooooo I'm pretty lucky when I look at it that way...
So anyone else here ever have that or something similar happen to their car?
