high beam indicator on dash wont go out
Hi all
the main head lights work fine when I switch to high beam the high beam comes on ok.When I turn off high beam the blue high beam indicator lamp on the dash stays on but the lights go back to normal beam.If I turn off the head lights and back on again the lamp is reset to off again.Any ideas where to start looking please

Re: high beam indicator on dash wont go out
I had a similiar problem with mine. Joke was that each headlight High/Low was opposite of each other! Heh.
Simple fix was that the genius before me put the wrong bulb on one side and it caused the above problem and the High Beam Indicator Light was on all the time. Check the specs for the correct lamp and check both lamps. Hope it's that easy of a fix for you. |

Re: high beam indicator on dash wont go out
hey you right I think I've got the same problem the drivers side light has been replaced and the wiring looks a bit dodgy. When I look carefully at the headlights on dip and high I could see they were ass about face. It's probably always been like this except the problem with the dash high beam light didnt show it self until the battery went flat a few months ago and there was lotts of clicking of relays (due to low voltage). What a bit of luck thanks mate

Re: high beam indicator on dash wont go out
I always wondered what the other drivers were thinking when my jeep was giving them that funny wink! Glad to be a help. This site has really helped me figure out problems a lot faster than on my own. Enjoy.
