99 GC Front Dash Speakers
Unfortunatly my 99 GC dash speakers didn't agree with my new Offspring cd and the pass side speaker now sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Two questions. First, how do I get the access cover panel off. Second, does anybody besides Jeep carry this 2.5" speaker?

it sucks!
I have replaced both of my front speakers. I just went to the dealer and bought new ones. Infinity Gold...75.00 each. I think I blew another one already. Everything sounds good except those. If you find better aftermarket let me know!

Not quite done yet....
Just rec'd the JBL replacements and minus a cut here and a resolder there, the problem I now have is that these are flush mount speakers which are meant to be held in place by way of a big (2.5" ?) plastic nut from behind. Hopefully you see from the pics. The originals are of course held by two screws. Is there some kind adapter I can simply attach to the replacements? |
