where do u start?

hey im just wondering where do u guys start drawing a car? eg. wheels? the back? the glass? the hood? or do u jst randomly pick a spot and go fom there? because for me. as soon as i set a rough (VERY rough) outline of the car i go from there.

I start with the grill. If it don't have a grill, I start randomley. (by random I mean wheel well)

i start with the space between the wheels, measure it so the proportions will be ok!

I start with a sacrifice and a symbolic funky chicken dance to the art Gods.

Actually it depends. I guess most times I start with a real light real rough box, and then tires.

If it's a toon I throw down sketches without thinking until I hit on one or two I like. Those sketches have no particular starting point.

Nice drawings. You color that red one in Photoshop?

of cuarse it depends on the angle of the car, but i ALWAYS do the wheels at the end of the drawing.

For me, outline of cars first then ouline of wheels, then shade left to right.

i usually start in the middle of the page

and i go from there



i do shadowZZZ first, then the windows and around that area, dont know why

wheels last

Well I start on the right head light when its a kinda front side view, but when its a full side view I start at the wheels.

unless your left handed

i just don't think about it. i normally take me a while just to figure out where to start (maybe even a couple pieces of paper).
