Was the Lightning actually trying? If so it got destroyed! I would've expected a closer race then that!!

I don't have audio yet though, so i couldn't tell. Nice vid tho!

True there's a weight disadvantage, but i still thought it would be closer then that! Those Lightnings go like stink!

Was the M3 modded at all? I guess we can't tell...just a random street race.

I just got audio working on the vid.

Very cocky and confident on the part of the boys in the Lightning. Didn't sound like he really mashed it when they finally 'got on the highway' though. I could hear the supercharger wailing, but there was no grumble from the motor.

Having worked with the Lightning, he was either in a very poor part of his gear range and gave it up waaay too early, or he wasn't trying.

Still good video tho.

Re: lighting vs m3

he(the Lighting guy) did not seem like he was trying to much. Nice vid though. I did not really hear it working that much.

I've smoked 2 of them already. Both times in the former Z28. They can be a killer with slicks on, due to the sick amounts of torque that they have. Stock though, they ain't nothing to be that scared of from a roll. Then M3 flat out walked him. Soo many people sell those M3's short on LS1.com that it isn't even funny. The reality of it is that they are sick. Heck I believe their traction control system can be used for some seriously sick take off times. In any event, nice vid.

Uhhhh... I don't think he was trying to be honest. His motor was making more noise just getting on the freeway than he did when he rode up along side him. Not to mention he was going to count out to 3 and only got to 1 and the M3 took off... but not very hard at all.

*shrug*

Wasn't impressive. Did I hear the one guy right? "I have a kid, hang on dude". Damn... if he had his kid in the truck with him wtf was he thinking to begin with?

Re: lighting vs m3

I dont think the kid comment meant that there was a kid in the car, just basically "Don't get us killed, I don't want my kid to be fatherless." But, I could be wrong.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not bashing the M3 in any way, i just think the that the Lightning wasn't trying, and the race should've been closer then that.

I agree that the M3 should've held a lead, but the Lightnings should've gone a hell of alot faster then that!!!
