I am huge fan of both the Zonda and Koenigsegg CC.. Do you have anymore information on this claim?

For example;

which test? on what track? which driver (s)? using the same octane fuel? catalytic convers on? slalom, 1/4 mile, or top speed?

just a minor correction -- in racing journalism circles the supercar status is NORMALLY only deemed for cars that are >215 MPH capable.. the Zonda, K-CC, XJ220, and Enzo are in this bracket.. i dont really need to mention the McLaren F1 as it still holds the fastest "production" car record (>240MPH), unless you are telling us otherwise?

Yeah, but 1 thing wrong with the Koenigg... It is ugly. The Zonda and Enzo are beautiful.

Dude doesn't even have a link to support his claim. Doesn't matter anyway, as the Bugatti Veyron most likely will smoke all of the above cars in top speed and the 1/4 mile. We'll just have to wait till next year to find out. If Bugatti allows someone to test it independently that is.

You mean this....
or this little engine that could:

I think that arguing what is fastaer at this level is for guys who are NOT past the "mine is larger than yours" stage.

WHO CARES

Do you think the truckload of women will turn away from your Zonda because the guy next door can go 10 miles faster than you....

Boy you're quick one aren't you? Any particular reasons? Considering the Mclaren trashes all mentioned cars in this thread I wouldn't make those pronouncements. Based on all availible information the Mclaren gets approximately 0-60 time of 3.3 s and a top speed of 241. The only thing that will beat that will be the Koenigsegg (mebbe with the speed), the S7 (already done it with accel, Road and Track), and of course the Bugatti which should be quite impressive.

http://www.paganizonda.com/compare/index.html Note that the Pagani has got nice torque and hp numbers but its a bit fat from those creature comforts. The Zonda, as far as I'm concerned will never be a groundbreaking car. It's beautiful, fast, and agile but it's not the best out there by a long shot. Also the new Koenigsegg CC 8S (the 2003 model) has slightly more power and less weight and also has a much heftier price which makes it run about 390,000.

Following information availible at paganizonda.com:

"C12 Performance
Top Speed: Over 185 mph est.

C12 S Performance
Top Speed: Over 200 mph
0 - 62 mph: 3.7 seconds"

So far the test at Nardo for the CC, which was conducted as a light rain began, clocked the CC going about 220. Koenigsegg feels confident it can reach 240 now, and I'm fairly confident that is possible. Said information is found from www.koenigsegg.com. So right now the Koenigsegg is on pretty even footing since it costs 40k more and has improved performance. Beauty of course is in the eye of the beholder now isn't it?
