a 2 door, 2wd blazer... a loud noise comes from the rear of the vehicle, i think its the rear differential, but i'm not sure. it only occurs when i reach about 40 mph. the tires are new, so i don't think its that, and the blazer has about 75,000 miles on it. also it sounds like the front suspension makes these popping noises when i turn the wheel in any direction.. any ideas of what these problems might be?

Re: 2000 blazer rear differential?
Rear end - Check your bearings. They are usual to make a loud "Humming" Noise at certain speeds. If not that, then check your yoke joint (*spelling) and drive shaft.
Front end - Wish Bone suspension??? Anyway, check the linkage on your sway bars. I had that problem as well, and it was that. |
