new to forum

Hi, New to the forum and just a quick hello. I started my MG history with a '77 midget a few years ago. I did quite a bit of mech. work to it, drove it for two summers, sold it and know I own a "76 B. I got it from a guy who had a garage rebuild the motor, and replaced most of the body panels with new, best of all it's painted BRG. He had it in storage for 3 years and never got to putting it back together. I so far have gotten the motor and tranny in, the windshield, seats, lights and most of the trim, my next step is the door glass carpeting, electrical (no kidding right!!) and front end bushings. So with some luck I'll be on the road for this summer. Take Care, John

Re: new to forum

Hi johnnymack, doesn't seem to be a large amount of activity here. I am fairly recent here too. I have a '72B that I've had for 23 years. I rebuilt the engine in '87 and painted it along with replacing the carpet and repairing the seat upolstery.
This last year I did a more thorough job, new paint, complete interior, new top, new windscreen glass, new visors, new leather seat covers and new foam, and new paint on the removable hard top. Also put a carpet set in the trunk. The engine probably has 100,000 since '87 and still running great. The car has over 300,000.
I had a '68 Sprite that I was repairing collision damage on when I got the "B" but let my son have that when I finished to go to college. I also painted it and had new interior in it.
Have a great day
Bob

New to Forum Also

Hi All....My name is Gary Rodgers. I have a '75 MGB which I've owned since 1978 and it's my 4th MGB. It has 115, 000 miles on it and still runs great. I have older wheels that, I think, actually came with a '63 or '64....somewhere around there....and I need to get 4 Rostyle wheels, if anyone has a line on them. I'll checking in on occasion to see if anyone responds. Thanks!
