HELL YEA! I got this bad boy installed, I used radiator house to move it out from underneath the MAS and intake runner joint pipe. that lil nasty hunk O shit, lol. I moed it up away from the shift cables (6 speed), and I made it visable in the huge free space I have since I have a trunk mount battery. OMG, wonderful sound, I was expecting move quieter for a recirculatory valve, but god damn, sounds so good, and gets attention, i love it. And I looked at the old BOV, which was the entire reason for the new one, in my past "fire" incident, (now why batt is in the trunk, fucking hard vaccum line) anyway, BOV had a huge leak, they naturally leak to start with from factory, sort of a mitsubishi boost safety feature, GAY, but the giant burn hole made it a lil worse ;-) ANYWAY!!! OMG!! so much more boost and horse power has returned to me, my car kicks ass again! And the GReddy is excellent for keep the boost more accessable in between shifts, lag has gone down tremdendessly, an excellent mod by far. I am ranking it up there with my MAFT version 2.0 mod....its that damn good.

Get a closed loop, not one that vents to hte atmosphere, unless you have an air/fuel controller or the straight blowthrough setup with the MAFT. If memory serves me correct, you don't have either, so I would suggest staying with a closed loop BOV, an open one that vents to the atmosphere will cause you to run rich every time you shift or let off the gas after heavy acceleration.

I assume you mean yours runs rich when you shift and such. It is because the MAS has already accounted for the air that has entered your intake, so the correct ratio of gas is sent to the mixture, yet your BOV vents some of the air out of the system, the MAS doesn't know that oxygen is being lost, so the a/f mixture is screwed up for a few seconds after that occurs. You might be able to smell it. As you know, running lean (without knock) is better for performance, so essentially the car is just wasting some gas and not running as ideally as it could for those few seconds after every shift. If you think of a 1/4, you are only in each gear for a few seconds, so you wouldn't be running as well as you could.
