Question '95 GMC TRUCK,Guages dead,Won't Shift, Help Me Please!!

hi, I own a 95 GMC Truck, Please Help Me!!

Intermittently my gear indicactor light doesn't come on and my RPM and Speedometer guages don't read, Which almost always means that my tranny won't shift. It goes but, I have to lay on it to get it to move, no power, I can get it up to regular speeds without obvious strain. This has been going on ever since i got my oil changed. The only thing I've done is change my fuel filter, so far, Next I will investigate the EGR. Any help, clues, tips or pointers anyone can give is greatly appriciated. Please Help Me , I'm desperate. I don't want to have to ride the bus. Thanks

Check for 12v at your trans fuse with key on. Check battery connections. Check the electrical plug on the tranny. If you don't have voltage at the trans fuse with key on its probably a problem with the electrical part of your ignition switch. Check this out: http://forums.pickuptruck.com/showfl...b=5&o=&fpart=1
