Turn >Rain> Slipped

Saturday Night I was driving out of my house to go to party. Theres an elevated bridge you go over it and while going down the road turns into a U turn going down hill. This is to go to the street that is perpendicular to the elevated bridge. Since I always go out of it, I have lots of experience in that turn and my car is always going fast and sometimes skidding moderately. Theres a point in the turn were it actually heavily oversteers and I had to do a rally style turn (opposing the steering wheel) to prevent my car to collide in the middle dividing thing. Saturday night it rained heavily (something im not used to, Im in Mexico) I was going in that turn at a normal speed, perhaphs a little fast but I knew it was dangerous with rain. In the sharpest angle of the turn my car suddenly lost grip, complete grip, I skidded and hit the side dividing bar which is around 13 inches and jumped over it. I did not brake cause i knew it was worse. My car was on the other side of the road so a car couldve come and hit me head to head. So in order to prevent this I went over the dividing thing again purposely. Nothing happened to the body, but of course my two remaining neon bars were destroyed...(the other two broke during the racing incident) I parked on the side of the highway and ripped them off throwing them at the wall. A hanging loose clinging metal kinda sound is now noticed when I drive. I look under the carand theres nothing. I have no money so I cant take it to Honda to fix. Damn!

Your stories are always crazy and stupid, if it was anyone else you'd be laughed at. But no sense, your MexSIR everyone praises you. That was one of the dumbest things ever. You put you and other's in danger. Also how in the .... is that luck. Anyone w/ common sense knows to take a turn especially a sharp U slowly in the rain. But i guess all is ok sense your ok, and you didn't harm others.

At least your car still runs, and you're in one piece. Count yourself lucky.

About your light bars...maybe God is telling you something?

(maybe God is saying: a. slow-down, and/or b. no rice for you! )

Re: Turn >Rain> Slipped

XixGenuinexiX - I was not going fast man! As you may have read. If i was going fast i wouldve gone to the other lane and hit the side bar. I was going around 25-30 mph tops. And its a huge U turn, its around 300 ft or so...I can maybe take pictures of the turn since its outside my house and show you...

Re: Turn >Rain> Slipped

And I dont see how it was dumb. I was just driving normally, slower than when the pavement is dry. When the pavement is dry I know exactly what my car can handle. But in the rain..it just sliped...

Hey MexSiR don't worry about it. There will always be those who assume the worse and try to make you look bad. It makes them feel better about themselves if they can bring you down to their level. They are the ones who ruin good forums.

Ya but you have never done anything "not so smart" in your car... driving drunk is one thing. but shit happens ... unless your a professional driver that drives VERY CAUTIOUSLY you put people at risk aswell. Hell driving with Fairly bald tires is a risk but thats why we have insurance.. Once you pull out of that drive way and get on the road that is the risk you take.

Re: Turn >Rain> Slipped

i don't know how to quote but here..

"I was going in that turn at a normal speed, perhaphs a little fast but I knew it was dangerous with rain. In the sharpest angle of the turn my car suddenly lost grip, complete grip, I skidded and hit the side dividing bar which is around 13 inches and jumped over it."

If i read correctly you said you were going faster than normal, and that you knew it was dangerous yet you still did it. That my friend is stupid.

Re: Turn >Rain> Slipped

Not faster than normal. Normally my car can go 45 mph without skidding. I was going 25-30 mph. But yeah a little fast for the rain but i thought my car could handle it...guess it didnt...
