Hot or cold plugs for a na gsr?

Im na right now and wanted to get some spark plugs i was thinkin about denso iridium. I heard about hot +1,+2 and cold +1,+2 plugs and i always get the best so i wanted to know the advantage of the plugs and what would be best for my car. Im going turbo eventually but ill buy new plugs later. I think one is for high compression and the other is for turbo or spray. Right now im running about 10.5:1 na. Also where can i get them and how much would they cost. Whoever can help me out i would greatly apreciate it.

The general rule of thumb when it comes to choosing cold or hot plugs is hot plugs are geared towards low speed city driving while cold plugs are for high speed continuous (highway) driving... your compression isn't much higher then the stock 10.0:1 so you really don't need anything more then the stock rating... however if you do decide to raise the compression to say 11.5:1 or higher then I would recommend a colder plug since the higher compression will raise the engine's temps.

Re: Hot or cold plugs for a na gsr?

NGK also makes an Iridium plug and they're about $3 - $5 less than the Denso. Not that I'm an NGK mark but
I recently gave my Civic a tune-up and wanted the Denso plugs but at $15.00 as apposed to $11.00/ea
for the same type of plug (iridium) I went with the NGKs with NGK wires.... Just a suggestion... I know I'm a n00b as they say on here... but like I believe, it's always good to have options...

Re: Hot or cold plugs for a na gsr?

I didn't hear anything bad about the Iridiums I did hear loads of negative reviews about the Platinums though.
I did a lil research before I bought my wires & plugs from price to quality.
