toyota hi lux surf 2.4tdi

Hi,
I am desperate for help from you clever guys out there as i am getting ripped off everywhere i go.Truck has been fitted with new toyota cylinder head, cam, valves etc. When the car is stationary it has loads of
power, but when you drive off it loses it, dies on hills etc.I get a surge in power as engine check light comes on but that soon dies. Gearbox changes down frequently but all i get is an increase in revs and virtually no acceleration. Turbo light never comes on, but you can see and hear turbo when you have air hoses disconnected.Flash codes have been pulled by so called mechanics and auto electricians but they cannot tell me what is wrong but of course i still get charged good style. I would be grateful for any help no matter what!
Many thanks,
Rob.

I have heard of some engines with collapsing air intake tubes. See if it still behaves this way with the air inlet tube disconnected.

Have you replaced any of the fuel supply components? This type of behavior could result from a bad fuel filter, pump or pressure regulator. Also, fuel pick-up could be clogged.

What codes are found when the ECL comes on?

Many thanks. No difference with tube disconnected.
Not sure on flash codes, will find out.Had new fuel filter fitted. Is it possible it could be turbo as cylinder head was cracked when i bought it.Would turbo cause engine check light to come on.

Check the crankshaft position sensor/circuit and distributor/circuit. I don't have any specific information on your vehicle.
