Re: bmw e30 microfilter for ventilation
e-30's & Z-3's along with early e34's don't have one.

Re: bmw e30 microfilter for ventilation
i think so, you,ve got one blower for the heater and the a/c and if your hearing a 'squeeching' or 'rumbling' noise with the fan on it's the motor. it's located behind that cowl in the engineroom under the windshield and wipers. take your time and be careful with the plastic covers that are clipped on around it. it's not real hard to replace and you might have to remove it to tell the supplier which brand you have.

Re: bmw e30 microfilter for ventilation
p.s., the 'pollen' may be either antifreeze if it seems damp, or a mold/corrosion biuld-up on the a/c evaporator if it's dry and whitish. several companies make an aresol to treat a/c systems. with it running you spray into the fresh air intake grills next to the wipers.
