Nissan PIE/DIN question

I have a 96 Nissan Maxima (non-Bose audio). Does anyone know if the AUX/ CD changer connector is the same thing as the Alpine M-Bus??

It's an identical connector (8-pin DIN), but is the signal the same? I.E. Can I connect an Alpine M-Bus CD changer or an M-Bus>RCA adapter to this plug?

Thanks for any help

Not sure how that helps, cause I don't have an Alpine unit. What I'm asking is if the Nissan stereo uses the same M-Bus cd changer connection.
