Removal of Headlights
I'm just wandering how to remove the plastic on the headlights to replace the bulbs. I would ask my dad, but then he'd just end up doing it himself and I'd never learn. Anyways, I saw some metal fittings when I opened the hood and pulled the plastic covering back a bit, but I didn't want to go any further without a second (or third) opinion.
Thanks. |

Re: Removal of Headlights
the plastic covers don't come off. or in better terms, aren't supposed to come off. the fitting that holds them in twists in from the back. just turn the fitting in the back about 1/4 - 1/2 a turn and pull out the bulb. try not to touch the actual bulb when you put the new one in so you won't get greases from your hands on the new bulb.

More detailed instructions would be great. I was unable to find a fitting that could be turned. Although my front fender isn't loosened nor have any previous alterations taken place. I found 4 clips, 2 which could be accessed and removed, but their purpose is unknown to me. Does anything need to be unfastened. Pictures/drawings would also be great. And just to keep things clear. 1995 Z24 Two-door Auto.

Re: Removal of Headlights
on the very back of the headlight assembly. directly behing the bults, there is the wiring harness for the lights. that actual connector is what twists to remove the bulbs. the metal clips on the front are completely pointless.
