where is timing / advance disable connector ?
I need a smog check in California, and local shop could not find the elect connector to disable the vacuum advance that is normally located behind plastic cover on firewall, near radiator expansion tank.
Can someone tell me where else it might be located: 95 1500 4x4 AT w/ AC 5.7 liter. Thanks, Jim |

Re: where is timing / advance disable connector ?
On my 93 it is on the right side firewall behind the plastic cover. I think it is a brown wire.

Timming advance disable
I have the same year sub (95 4x4 w/5.7). They will think your crazy but it's a little light brown wire with a darker brown stripe, go to the passenger side inside (yes inside the truck)look up from the passenger side floorboard just under and behind the glovebox around the blower motor. If you need I can email a picture.
my email is [email protected] |

Jim, Now I am confused. Do you have on the firewall and behind the glove box?
