fujimi 246 dinos

hey, has anyone noticed the sudden influx of dino kits on ebay?
could it be that they're off-loading since the new kit is out?

on a similar note, does anyone know what the new kit is like?
is it a re-issue of the old real sports kit or is it a new tooling?
i'm guessing it's not going to be ENTHUSIASTS detailed but does anyone know what it does have?
for that matter, does anyone have one of the new kits?

monkey out.

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

It's not a new tooling: just a simplified version of the old enthusiast kit... Should be easier to build like that!

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

hmm, ok.
from the looks of things from that site, it's just a re-issue of the real sports kit (i forget the number).
guess that means i can safely build mine knowing that if i fluff it up, i can get a new one!

I know this; a simplified version will mean I can build a vintage sports racer out of one with no regrets and far greater ease, meaning my Testors issue Enthusiast Series Dino remains factory stock.

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

It's exactly the same kit being re-issued! I suspect the
eBay sellers either don't know about the re-issue or arehoping to get a sucker.

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

well, from the pics on the link, the contents are exactly the same as the old RS-19 (i finally went and looked in my cupboard....) kit; the one that lets you build the early/later models.

not the enthusiast kit good but it does have a very nicely done body.

so the testors/enthusiasts kits are still quite a bargain if you can beat me to it...

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

hang on, when you say 'versions', are you talking about the dinos or ALL enthusiasts kits?

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

And to continue the discussion, I just received the newly rereleased 246GT and compared to the Enthusiast 246GTS I got from ebay last week ( ) it has so few parts. The Enthusiast one has so man that it's literaly hard to position them so that the box could be closed, whereas there's a lot of room in the GT. But I knew what I was buying and I wouldn't say it's a bad kit, just not the great one that the Enthusiast one is. It can, however, be built into either an early or late type version

Anyway, hope the Enthusiast ones get reissued, my stock pile is not high enough yet

Re: fujimi 246 dinos

So YOU're the reason I didn't get it as cheaply as I should have?
