Ls 500 / Ls 600

does anyone have any "inside" information on the "new" LS500s and the LS600? On autospies [ www.autospies.com ] they mentioned that there was gonna be a redesign for '04 and a complete change for '06. Can anyone confirm this, or does anyone have better/stronger information?

autospies has the strongest information so far...i'm really waiting for the LS600 coupe.. that'll be fun! I can't only guess on what the specs of the new LS 500/600 would be, since the LX430 was the fastest in its class (engine class). the 500 should have around 350hp and the 600 should have around 475-500 (both are just guesses) I'm pretty sure Lexus won't go into turbo or superchargers like Mercedes has, but their power/weight ratio will be very good, just like the LS430's was. I believe the LS430 was faster than the S500 and 740iL... i think. Maybe not the BMW, but surely the Benz. I'm reallly looking forward to both of these cars!!!

yes, the LS430 was definitely faster than a 740, and faster than the S500's claimed 0-60 of 6.5. but my friend with a completely stock S500 can consistently run in the high 5's. so i guess its not "really" faster than an S500. lol

I am confident that the 2004 LX 430 will be "refreshed". I saw on a Dealer information sheet that the Ultra Luxury package will include a rear camera.

Does anyone know what the wood selection (colors) will be in the Ultra Luxury package?

I can't imagine an LS with any more power than the 430 puts out.
it could use a little redesign, but more power i dont know about.
Maybe i'm getting old but when i stomp on this thing it puts me far
enough into the seat........ lol

look for the LS500GT in 2006.. 400 horsepower 5 liter v8 coupled to a 200 horsepower electric motor results in a 600hp lex
