Replacing head gasket...what all should I get?

I plan to replace my headgasket on my hatch this weekend and I'm wondering what all I should get. Someone told me to get a headgasket kit or something. So does that include the head gasket and intake and exhaust mani gaskets? Or is that pointless and should I just get a headgasket? I know I should get one for a z6 or y8, because its metal and wont blow out, and it also raises compression a bit? And I need new head studs, right?

Also, the car only overheated once for like 10 mins, so what are the odds of my head to be warped? It still runs fine besides for the getting hot thing, so I haven't driven it at all since.

Head gasket set. Comes with every thing you need. Head gasket, intake/exhaust gaskets, valve cover gasket thermostat housing gasket ect. All head gaskets are metal. All head gaskets can blow out. Shorter head gasket will raise compression but not enough to see any differnance. Odds of it being warped are slim. The head bolts can be reused, just not more than three times, other wise you risk failure.

Yeah he has a good point, I would definatly recomend putting on a new timing belt sence you got to pull it anyway.

well technicaly you don,t most hondas have a small rubber grommit on the cover and you can loosen the tensioner bolt and pull up on the belt and retighten the bolt to hold it.
but a head job is pretty involved might as well do some maintainace while your at it

He probly ment to get copper head gasket sealer, its good stuff. Also you will need something to clean where the head and block seal together. I used tons of razorblades to scrape it clean but there are alternatives.
