Keyless Entry

Okay... I am not sure if I will get anything out of this post but it is worth a try. I dont know if there are any tech guys or saturn mechanics out there. I took my car in to get a key fob for my keyless entry for my 96 SC2. I bought the car used but it still had the window sticker in it and one of the options was the keyless entry unfortunately i did not recieve it when I bought the car. So anyways, they plugged the device to get the programming codes onto the computer hook up. But their machine did not read that I was supposed to have keyless entry. It read every other option except that one. THere are codes on the spare tire cover in the trunk and the keyless entry code was on there also. Since thier computer did not get the right programming codes from my car I did not get the keyless entry. THey said this was the first time that they had ever had this happen. I was thinking about buying an aftermarket kit but I hear they are a bitch to put in so I am trying to avoid this. Any help would be awesome! Thanks
