So I have my prelude torn apart in the shop. I've cleaned the intake manifold and the fuel injectors (1 new one too) and replaced a bunch of parts (water pump, thermostat, distributor cap and rotor, brembo rotors, two new rear brake calipers). I have a new alternator, starter, belts already and have a new WeaponR intake to put in. I have a few questions.
1. Is it worth it to replace the oxygen sensors in the header? also is it worth putting a new header in?
2. Is there any other parts that I should replace while I have the engine torn apart?
3. I found a deal for tokico shocks and springs for $400. This would lower the car one inch. Is that worth the money? And should I replace all the bushings for all my suspension? They are actually pretty expensive (I priced it out to over $200 I think).

It depends on how you want your car to look and feel. It's never worth it to upgrade a car as it depreciates the value of it.

It looks like you've been doing your homework and most of the stuff you have mentioned sounds pretty good.

1. From what I hear, there is a limited selction of headers available for the 3rd gen prelude. I don't know how much you will gain, but it might be a worthy mod for you. I would replace the oxygen sensor in the header just because you might get a little more performance over your old, used, dirty sensor. Plus, they aren't that expensive anyway..

2. You mentioned belts, but have you done a new timing belt? I would def. look into that while you have the engine apart. Always want to safeguard yourself from possible catastrophe.

3. I would go with it. There's no better feeling than driving your car after you lowered it. I wish I did this the day I got the car, as it has been my favorite mod to date. Tokico is quality, and usually comes with a nice warranty. I take it you want to replace the bushings with factory bushings as there isn't any aftermarket available for the 3rd gen (or so i hear). I think it's a good idea. It will give you a more preidctable ride around corners and is just a good thing to do in any restoration.

It's a good idea to get all the vitals replaced in an older ride that you are fixing up. It really makes life easier down the road. You can't build anything good on a weak platform.

I would say replace the headers. They ratttle inside due to being doublewalled. I finaly come accross DC now that I have a Pacesetter. S7s have some available http://www.ssheaders.com/4Cylinder.htm
