Wheels question

I see most of you all have been getting some sweet lookin wheels. Most are coming from these 1/18th scale die cast models that cost just about as much as some would cost from aoshima or fujimi. My question is would these be better buys to get a better variety of wheels on your model cars? Im trying to look for different ways of getting that special look without looking too far to find what I want.
