86 325es warning lights
I've got a 1986 325es and I've been having some problems with warning lights.
Below the speedometer, the brake lining light is on about 70% of the time. I've checked it out and nothing seems to be wrong. Also, on the display on the roof with all the warning lights, the coolant light likes to go on at random intervals. Once again, nothing wrong with the coolant. Also, on the same display there is a the "brake light" warning, but both of my brake lights work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

i'd take it in and have your dealer or auto shop run it on the computer. it is probably that all the sensors are starting to go bad.

If the coolant is as little as 1/2 inch below the arrow on the reservoir, the light may come on. Also, I don't know if your "brake light" warning light stays on while driving, but it is normal for it to be on when you start the car before you press the brake pedal for the first time.

325 warning lights
the lining lamp problem is in the mainboard of the cluster and is common. assuming your pads and sensors areconnected and good. replace the level sensor on the reservior to fix the other warning lamp
