I have a 99 hatch and was looking into getting headers. Does anyone have any opinions on the Neuspeed N2 headers? DC? Comptech?? Which one is better: ceramic coating or not?

stainless steel rusts very quickly so go with the ceramic. i would have to say that i prefer dc headers.

![]() i'd recommend the HP racing Stainless Steel Chrome Plated 4-2-1 header.. according to import tuner it made a good amout of hp and torqe, and it only costs $175 from nopi.. the dc SS is nice too but a lil pricey..

What's the point of having the ceramic coat anyway? Does anyone know about the Neuspeed N2 headers?

Hi gang,
Ceramic coating creates a kind of heat shield between the inside of the headers and the outside. This will reduce the overall temperature inside your engine bay. My opinion on this ?? Get the stainless steel and get also some thermal coat band. Why ?? Stainless steel because the headers will last mmmuuuccchhhh longer then the others, then isolate the headers with Thermal coat band to reduce the heat inside the engine bay, and to increase the heat inside the headers (better flow). Be happy !

told ya. it might look all shiny and nice in the beginning, but over months it will begin to rust. call almost any shop that deals with headers and they will tell you to go for ceramic.of course its ur car so go with what you like best.

lol, well think about it.. if we set a budget of $350 and he bought himself the DC Ceramic 4-2-1 two piece header ($321.49) and he bought ME the HP Stainless Steel 4-2-1 two piece ($173.79) thats a difference of $147. the Cusco Lower Rear Tie bar from optauto.com is $86
so with the money he saved from buying my header he can use to buy me a rear lower tie bar with 61 bucks to spare! thats a set of Accel plug wires ![]() soo.. i could have a DC ceramic 4-2-1 that will rust on me, or i can have a HP stainless 4-2-1, a cusco rear lower tie bar, and a set of accel plug wires for the same price!! with his whopping $21 left after buying the DC header, he could buy a neato Recaro cell phone holder and maybe one spark plug.. the defense rests, your honor
