Older Car Products
I moved a little while back to my new house and noticed in the garage there was some car detailing stuff but I didn’t check it out till today. Well there is a lot of useful stuff in there but I have no idea how old any of it is. Some looks really old some looks brand new. So does any on this stuff go bad? I have everything from car wash to wax to chrome polisher etc. Obviously since the wax has hardened it is not useable but how bout the other stuff? What would go bad over time? Thanks in advance.

Re: Older Car Products
Heh.Well sorry about that.I havent been here for a while.
Well,of course the wax is pointless when its dry.I really dont think anything happens to sealed cleaners/polishers over time as long as they were stored at room temp.I recently found a metal polish and it works as good as new.It was about 4 months old.Things that are liquid and what not can still be used if you shake them for a little bit first.I havent had any problems with it yet. Just watch out for the ones that are opened.Dust can accumulate inside and actually scratch your paint other than polishing or cleaning it. |

Re: Older Car Products
Carnuba based waxes and polishes last for years , synthetics can too but if any product freezes or gets too hot it separates and wont mix together again , thats how they get expired.
