Internal brake light

I have a 2000 Accord LX 5 speed. I'm having problems with the internal brake light on the dash. At first the light only came on when I was making a turn or go up/down hill. Now the light is staying on. Before anyone asks, I don't have the emergency brake on.
Is it possible that this is something I could fix myself or do I have to go to the Honda Dealer? Thanks.

It just says BRAKE. I don't know which one. My brakes seem fine and the hand brake seems fine. Any clues?

Re: Internal brake light

check your brake fluid level cuz the same light comes on if thats low or if the P-Brake is on

internal brake light

I understand. I have had the same problem on my 99 LX-V6. It continues to be an intermittent problem for me. I just found a hit on a consumer reports webpage that stated it could be a "saturated float". I am still researching the repair and level of difficulty.
