Question engine papers

I'm gonna buy 2 b16a's come spring and was wondering what exactly are "papers", is it just a recipt that has the engines # on it? thanks

yes make sure you get your papers. if an engine does not have its papers, do not buy it!

so a recipt w/serial # is good enough proof?.....I thought there might be some sort of 'title' or certificate by the company or shop that removed it....oh well. I thought there be more 'cause a person could just make up a phony buisness, docter up some papers and volia! stolen engine is now legal
