qjet/edelbrock swap-vacum lines?

I just swapped my tired q-jet for an edelbrock performer 600 cfm. This is on an '84 4X4 with a 350. Does anyone know what to do with all these extra vacum lines from the q-jet to keep it emission legal and work properly. I'm having probs with surging, pinging at low throttle in O.D., back firing.......any help is appreciated!
