Finished pics: 1/43rd Subaru Impreza 2002

Hi, this is the 2002 Subaru Impreza, as made by heller, in 1/43rd scale, the total length of the car being just over 10 cm.

I must say I was already pretty impressed by seeing it in the box, but lack of rollcage, and way too high ride height made me to rethink things a bit.

Mods made to it are; - lowered ride height , opened vents, BMF the windows to conceal the lack of rollcage, made a new exhaust, rebuilt the rear lights out of clear plastic, detailed the interior...

That's about it, for teh rest it got its usual treatment from me, as being mica blue over a gray primer, and lotsa clear, followed by sanding and polishing and waxing, and must say, even for a 1/43rd car, the shine impresses me.

It was nice to do as a first 1/43rd model, although now that I ve tried it, I still love the 1/24th scale for easy modifying.

Nice build! Is it a resin, or one of the platic Airfix/Heller kits?

Looks good to my eye. I can't spot any detail (or lack thereof) that would betray that it's not 1/24 scale. Any chance you've got a 1/24 Scooby to pose it with?
