Question Oil Pan replacement

How hard will it be to put a nice new chrome oil pan on my 82? Will I need to pull the engine or just jack it up? The oilpump is in the rear and a freind said that he thought you could just undo it and slide it out without doing anything.

Re: Oil Pan replacement

i think you might be able to pull it if you jack it up high enough

Jack it and set it on ramps. that is what I have done since day 3 with my camaro. That should get you plenty of clearance for a new one. Make sure it is not too tall though or you will hit a bump and rip off your oil pan. oh
