Personally I think an H2 with scissor doors would be pretty ugly, but then again I think H2's are stupid, ugly, and a pussy version on the real Hummer.

You can make hinges out of brass rod and tubing. That is how I make hinges for my models. I suggest looking in the Tutorial Depository of the Car Modeling forum (this covers 1/24 plastic models normally)

I think the tubing is probably your best bet. Try to copy the hinges that you will find on a few cars with butterfly doors. Usually for butterfly doors you would have two contact points but with an H2 you'll only be able to use one I think so you're gonna have to make it very solid.

Butterfly are the kind you're actually talking about since a Hummer cannot even have Lambo doors (http://www.statikdesign.com/scratchb...ody/doors.html). I plan on working on some in the next few weeks so i'll make sure to post.

Why did you post the same thing three times almost 10minutes apart?

Dont copy the frame. What he is saying is Scissor/Lambo doors are not possible on an H2. You will have to make butterfly operating doors, this does not mean make the door it self, make the door open butterfly style; Thus fabricating a butterfly hinge.

I am 15 I weld but you dont have to weld brass. Welding brass is not done easily, thats why it is soldered. Soldering is similar to welding except it is done at a much lower temperature.

Just fabricate the buttergly hinges, and glue them in place with some epoxy or JBweld (AKA Welding in a tube )

well try cutting off the doors, then create hinge. i made a 1/43rd honda with lambos and i cut doors off then thru the dash took 2 metal rods and glued them ot the doors and molded around the dash. then you stickt he doors with rods into the dash, to open pull out and push up. i would have made diffrent style but room is limeted in a 1/43rd car. for a bigger truck, try a thicker rod then paper clips but not to larger, has to bend, and creat a hinge to push out and up

Is there anyway you could read FAQ's, Search, and maybe figure out stuff for your self?

This is one of my pet peeves. People that dont search and just want answers handed to them.

Another pet peeve resurecting threads.
