Got a sweet kill earlier tonight

Hey guys. Well tonight I got a pretty sweet kill in my Nova. I am the type of person that whenever I just drive around, I literally do around 40 MPH just always creeping along. Well tonight A guy in a mustang came up beside me and was messing with me pretty heavy. he had a nice exhaust, one of the most absurd wings I have ever seen, and cobra emblems on the car (I think it might have just been a GT with exhaust and cobra emblems, around a 2003-2004 model). Well anyway he was messing with me pretty bad (I think he was trying to impress his girlfriend in the passenger seat) but I wasnt really in a "racing mood". Then we pulled up to a stop light and he was revving his engine up and all that stuff, but I still controlled myself, and when he left he lit the tires up and so on. Then he waited for me again and when we got the the next city block there was another redlight and this time I had finally had enough, so when we got to this light he started reving his engine up and I gave him the thumb up and stalled it up to around 2600 and when the light went green I launched from hell (probably the hardest launch I have ever done on the street). Well with my gears I VERY quickly pulled to about a 5-6 car length lead and it slowly increased from there. I was actually kind of disappointed with the race for as much noise as he was making, when I actually tried his car wasnt that impressive. I didnt even hit the spray. Well afterwards I guess he was pretty embarassed or something because when I started to slow down and he passed me he started honking and shooting me the bird and all that stuff which wasn't very nice. All in all I was pretty happy with the kill. So many people around town know my car thats its near impossible to get a race anymore. Well I thought id share it with you all.

Rob

Re: Got a sweet kill earlier tonight

people w/ mustangs think they're god cause their cars sound good. truth is, many of them can't drive worth a shit, and their cars are nothing compared to the good old chevy's and pontiacs. i drove a v6 mustang when i was on vacation. compared to my v6 camaro, nothing. the car was SAD. i know it's not the same, but chevy v6 > mustang v6, chevy v8 > mustang v8. nice kill.

Hey thanks guys.. Like i said i know the car was a v8 and might have had a little work done to it, but im pretty sure the guy just bought a GT and spent a few extra bucks and put Cobra Emblems on it. His car looked pretty good, except for the hideous wing, but it sounded very good I will admit. His bark was WAY worse then his bite though =).

Re: Got a sweet kill earlier tonight

well no matter what, the camaro will
allways be around to kick mustang a$$
i hate the mustang. one of my best friends
was killed in a 2000 model. got it as a graduation
gift. the throttle stuck wide open and lost control
hit a tree and the car exploded. his parents called
ford and they said there was several cars that was
to "be" recalled due to the problem. i believe they
filed a suit against ford. but i have lost contact with them so i dont know whats going on.

Re: Got a sweet kill earlier tonight

i went to town cruzin with him that night
i thought he gunned the car really hard
we hit about 90 and he let off, he said he
didnt do anything. he dropped me off at
my house, then 20 minutes later his brother
called with the news, it was about midnight,
i didnt believe him about the throttle just
going wide open, the witness said that he
almost rearended her and he shot around her
like a speeding bullet, cut a s curve , lost control
and hit a tree, his brother was on his way home
from work and saw the car wrapped around the tree
he saw it was his brothers, and pulled off to help.
he was still alive but it hadnt exploded yet.
he was pinned between the steering wheel
and the seat. the doors were jammed. his
brother ran to the nearest house to call 911
when he got to the door of the house he
heard the explosion. and he done something
i could never do, he run back to the car.
his brother beat on the window a couple
of seconds. and the entire car became engulfed
in flames, he watched his brother burn to death.
when i found out i passed out cold. cause i wanted
to run to his house with him and he wouldnt let me,
he just dropped me off, then went on. i could have been trapped in that car with him. i had nightmares
for months.

Re: Got a sweet kill earlier tonight

my last car was a 12 second n/a 5.0 notchback. it was pretty sweet, 302 crate, c4 etc. a little wild for me, it was made for drag and totally stripped...anyhow, one afternoon i was coming home from work and the air cleaner bolt which had some pretty worn threads fell straight through into the holley 750 and held open the throttle, and i had a runaway monster on my hands. all i could think to do was shut it off as i was coming up on a real harsh turn pretty quickly. thankfully it turned off, im still here :-D
