General Q: About the Montero Sport

I'm looking at a 2001 Montero Sport and I was wondering how many miles are the motors reliable for before a rebuild may be nessecery and how hard is it to do general maitainence on them (change oil, plugs, Transmission fluid, etc...). It has 166K miles on it now. Their all highway miles.
