How To Remove/Install Airbag

Ok I searched this topic before I did it and I noticed everyone said "pay someone to do it" "Dont mess with it"

Well if you already have the airbag assembly you want it will take you less then 20 minutes to install (and I took a cig break)

1) Disconnect the battery.
2) Open the glove box and pop out the little rubber stoppers on each end by pushing down on them. ( This will cause your glove box to fold down completely.
3) With a small flat head screw driver look to your left under the glove box you will see some wire with red loom around it. At the end you will see a light green flap, pop that up and to the left of that you must push in to unplug the clip. Remember to lift the green part first because it acts like a lock for the clip.
4) Then you will see some brackets underneath the air bag.Take off the 2 10mm bolts, and the 2 screws and push up from underneath and your whole airbag assemply is out.

Also wait to plug the harness with the red wire until you are done with tightening the screws on new air bag.

Also dont forget to put the rubber stoppers back on or your glove box with flop down the next time you open it.

All in all it was very very simple and if your like me and like to do everything yourself this will guide you through and save you 150 to have someone work on your car for a couple of minutes.

And you can also have your airbag inspected if you are nervous about it.

Hopes this help for everyone whos needed the info.

Re: How To Remove/Install Airbag

make sure to wait a little bit after disconnecting the battery before you pull the bag just to give it a chance to disarm the book says 20 secs id wait at least a minute. unless your removing one that went off then it doesnt matter

Boosted I purchased my "new" bag on ebay for 60 bucks and it was like 10.00 for shipping. So I was happy with it.
