i got a fujimi CRX and some aoshima 18's

only to be dissapointed with no motor! o well as soon as i got 5 mins later i was cutting the hood and a civic motor bay to fit a type R motor! I had to cut the front off, replace it with a civic motor bay, and chop out wheel wells. the back will eb lowered on 18's and all it will be awsome! i am not getting 2 in depth just yet, i am going to try to finsih that lighting i have!

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

Don't expect a motor in any Fujimi kit...And if your using the Civic SI motor.. Thats not a Type R motor its a B16A2.. 1.6 litre.. Type R motor is s B18C5 which is a 1.8 Litre motor.. Civic is 160bhp, Integra is 197bhp

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

Yeah..i was going to point that out. It sounds like a really cool idea. What rims do you have for it? Did you plan to make dual exhaust? The duals always look sick on those older crx'. Good luck with the crx and lightning.

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

Fujimi kits have some of the best detailed engines in their EM series kits. Not too many of them though. Engine doesn't matter B16A2 or B18C5, they are externally the same.

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

well i messed up bad on the motor so i took it out and then the front was hanging with glue, so busted out some thin styrene , soldering iron and 10 mins and i molded the front suspension area back on. and the hood glued on and then soldered on, but i melted it a bit, easy putty fix! now i need a body kit!

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

it is an old trick! i bought a cheapo 3$ wal mart soldering iron and then you use it to melt the plastic styrene card, it works well, i dont use it much just for instance liek this, or molding a truck cab to a bed! that stuff. work! hey!

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

I agree with Privateer.. Never use a soldering iron on plastic.. Use Boiling water or a candle..

Re: surprize at my door.....But......

well see i wasnt trying to form the styrene i was tring to melt it all over and have it melt all together. it works, just have to be careful on the body becuase it will melt fast! i only used that trick on the chassis, to hold the front bacl on

Glue and styrene work wonders for this. No need to be careful, just stick it where you want it.

thanks....i have alot planned! first off full body kit! hood scoop( to help cool the motor is dont have) removing the ugly side door molding, leaving the handels, that stuff, full new exhust kit, alot of interior work! there isnt many parts to this kit, so i will fab alot my self, to spice it up, right now from the kit, it is a crappy car! but when i get my body work on it, and more done it will be better. there is only a few chassis parts, suspension, seats a dash, decals, and windows! and minor parts thats all!
