spring settle before alignment?
Should I let my springs settle a bit before get an alignment done? Or does it not matter that much?Thx.

I would say a little bit, so when they check the camber it is where it is going to be once they are fully settled, that way you will be able to tell better if you will need a camber kit

when i got my springs installed, my performance shop said to come back one week to perform the alignment.
dunno, if for spring to settle, or that they were busy. ? |

If you get GOOD springs, they should not settle that much to worry about. For example, the Tein S.Tech and HighTech model springs are guaranteed to not sag/settle more than 5mm once "broken in."
Also of note, the nature of 7th gen Civic suspensions (especially the coupes) they are more prone to sagging in the rear than any ohter car I've seen. This is why generally springs or coilovers for 7th gens will have stiffer springs at the REAR of the car rather than the front like every other FWD car has.

I bought some RS*R springs (hear gd stuff about them), putting them on today. I will wait a week just to be on the safe side. I don't think holding off a week will harm anything, and just in case the springs do settle a bit, it will be a truer(?)alignment.Thx guys. |
