I did it! I finally got my A6 intake manifold on my A1! I did it this Sunday. I took some pics of the progress, check em out....
www.geocities.com/joebob989/swap/swap.html It nice, before with the A1 manifold, my car wouldnt really climb after 5500 RPM, but now it does! And it has a cool vtec type sound!

Re: Installed my A6 Intake Manifold!
nice job... I suppose the upper portion of your intake manifold had to be changed as well or did you use the stock upper portion, and did you use the stock throttle body that came with your accord? Does the pic of the ecu mean you had to go to a 92 - 93 ecu? I have a 91 ex-r and would like to do the same thing.... do you have a step by step procedure for the swap if so the link would be fine.
My next step is to change my header... what do you recommend... stainless/painted/ceramic?

Re: Installed my A6 Intake Manifold!
you do need a 92-93 EX ECU, or any other ECU that came with an F22a6 (I believe the code is PT6). Anyhow, the plenum and lower portion have to be changed, throttle body is interchangeable.
oh, and a ceramic or stainless header is best. Ceramic being my personal preference. - Nathan |
