Little history:
On a Chevy 350 pre-1987. Need to replace intake in order to have working EGR. Egr works and everything. I notice these ports/area is plugged. Question:Should I remove that stuff out in order for the EGR to work ? Intake EGR Plugged ? Thanks in advance. |

Yea, just clean out all that built up carbon from the passages and you will be good to go.

Re: Re: What are these ports for ?
Thanks.
What is weird is it is not carbon but looks like that cold weld stuff. I guess the previous owner of the intake plugged it up. I guess he thought he would get more HP. Maybe true for more hp but I need the EGR to help cool it down even if it is a little. Thanks for the help. |
